Luis Frank Arias Mosquera, “El Macry”, was born in Cuba in 30 July 1960, the son of a Cuban singer of songs and tangos in the city of Las Tunas. He owed his international breakthrough to the music project Buena Vista Social Club in the late 1990s that triggered the boom of traditional Cuban sound.
