In 2007, Stein Roger Sordal decided to create an acoustic solo album - "In Fort Knox With A Penny". He invited some of his musician friends into his "Brown Sound Studio" and recorded, mixed and produced the album himself. The disc was picked up by MTG Music and was released in January 2008. The disc went on to sell well. This collaboration had gone so well that they decided to form a new band. Towards the end of 2008 the planning of a new album began, and thus Angels Motel was born.
