BUCK-TICK is a popular Japanese new wave/rock group formed by Hisashi Imai in the early 1980s. They are sometimes associated with the visual kei style, and are regarded as one of the first bands of the movement (among X-Japan). Their name is an anglicized form of baku chiku (Japanese for "firecracker").
