Garry Johnson was a true working class punk poet. A genuine rebel who I liken to a Cockney Dylan. He was half-Irish and a champion of the Underdog. His musical influences were The Sex Pistols, The Clash and The Jam but Johnson was also influenced by the likes of Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Bob Dylan, Robin Hood and working class rebels. He was also influenced by British movies such as Quadrophenia, Get Carter and The Long Good Friday. All those influences are featured in his five books..
