Lucas O'Connell is an indie singer-songwriter originally from Alexandra, New Zealand. He has been performing since 2010, and in late 2013 released his debut album Songs to Sleep On along with his debut music video for Liquid Night, the first single from the album. His musical influences include Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake, Bob Dylan, Tim Buckley, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Simon & Garfunkel among others; but he is also strongly influenced by the poetry of Dylan Thomas and the writings of Jack Kerouac.
