Poverty Branch is a self-described Folk-Pop band from Orlando, Florida, fronted by David Burleson. Burleson is the lead singer, acoustic guitarist, and songwriter of the group. Their influences include Johnny Cash, The Avett Brothers, Guster, Dr. Dog, The Beatles and Bob Dylan. The band began in Summer 2006 in the form of a single demo for the song "Michigan Street," which is still one of the band's most popular songs.
