Tragic November started back in 2000, when lead singer/songwriter Shawn Hatfield got a new guitar and decided to start writing music. Although he’d always known he would, now it was a need, a driving force that compelled him. Relationships, romantic and otherwise didn’t seem to be going well, and all that emotion needed an outlet.
